David Brian Peter Sereda was born on August 21, 1961, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where he grew up with three brothers in a family rooted in Catholic faith. His early years were marked by his family’s move to Berkeley, California, in 1964, as his father pursued a degree in psychology. This period of his life was deeply influenced by the turbulent 1960s, including the Vietnam War protests and the social movements of the time.
David’s upbringing played a significant role in shaping his interests in writing. Surrounded by powerful social change and spiritual exploration, he was deeply influenced by his father’s guidance in meditation and the pursuit of “God Consciousness.” These early experiences planted the seeds for David’s passion for exploring the human experience and spiritual realms through his writing.
David’s childhood was further shaped by loss, including the divorce of his parents, an event that fuelled his lifelong quest for spiritual enlightenment. His father, Dr. Lynn Sereda, an educational psychologist, guided him and his brothers into the practice of meditation with the goal of attaining “God Consciousness,” a journey that would deeply influence David’s life.
Through years of study and spiritual practice, David sought to transcend suffering and experience true bliss. He was profoundly impacted by the teachings of various spiritual leaders, including Takar Sing, Baba Hari Das, Krishnamurti, Osho, and the Dalai Lama. These experiences led him on a path of self-healing and the search for a deep, personal connection to the afterlife and spiritual realms.
David’s life took a spiritual turn when he began his work as a tree planter in British Columbia, where he spent over 23 years planting more than 1.3 million trees, integrating the physical labour with his spiritual practices. This period of physical and spiritual labour helped David connect more deeply with the earth and with his spiritual journey.
One of the most transformative aspects of David’s life has been his direct, face-to-face encounters with divine figures such as Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, and Mary Magdalene. These powerful experiences reshaped his understanding of spiritual consciousness, confirming his belief in the transformative power of divine presence and love.
David’s spiritual path has been marked by dedication, introspection, and profound mystical experiences, and he continues to seek deeper connections with the divine, all while sharing his journey to inspire others on their own spiritual quests. His unique upbringing, filled with a blend of social upheaval and spiritual exploration, continues to influence his writing, providing him with a rich foundation to explore themes of suffering, enlightenment, and the human experience.

FAMILY
David’s wife, Crystal Sereda, played an integral role in shaping his writing, co-authoring three of his most notable works: Mona Lisa’s Little Secret, Face to Face with Jesus Christ, and The Great Pyramid and The Harmony of the Order. These manuscripts began as a shared vision, a true collaboration of minds and hearts. Tragically, Crystal passed away in August of 2021, but her presence remains deeply intertwined with David’s work. He feels her influence continues to guide and inspire his creative process. Alongside him on this journey are his two daughters, Astraria and Alyra, whose support and involvement have been a constant source of strength and inspiration throughout his writing career.
